Author Mark Silverthorn denies being sued for $500,000 by collection lawyer Deanna Natale

In a video posted on Youtube on December 30, 2010, consumer lawyer Mark Silverthorn denies being sued by collection lawyer Deanna Natale. Mark Silverthorn received a draft statement of claim from Toronto lawyer William McDowell dated November 26, 2010, sent on behalf of Ms. Deanna Natale. The draft statement of claim indicates that Mark Silverthorn is to pay Deanna Natale $500,000 in general damages and $50,000 in punitive damages.

In another video posted on Youtube on December 30, 2010, author Mark Silverthorn announced that he is on the verge of signing a book deal for his second book , tentatively titled Draft-statement-of-claim-gate: The Scandal that Rocked the Canadian Collection Industry.
On Tuesday, January 4, 2011, consumer lawyer and author Mark Silverthorn was a guest on The Gary Doyle Show on 570 News in Kitchener, Ontario. During this interview host Gary Doyle and Mark Silverthorn talked about Mark's first book The Wolf At The Door: What To Do When Collection Agencies Come Calling. Mark also spoke about his new book which is scheduled to be in bookstores across Canada on December 1st of 2011, tentatively titled Draft Statement of Claim Gate: The Scandal That Rocked The Canadian Collection Industry. During this interview Mark Silverthorn announced that his law firm would pay $100 to the first 100 people who provided him with a copy of a draft statement of claim from a Canadian lawyer. Gary and Mark also discussed Deanna Natale's 2-day disciplinary hearing scheduled for January 11, 2011, and the fact that Mark had to drive to Toronto the following day, Wednesday, January 5, 2011, to attend some kind of hearing at The Law Society in connection with some "new information" regarding the Deanna Natale professional misconduct case.
