In this interview Global's consumer reporter Sean O'Shea highlights a few of the key points in Mark's new book Wolf At The Door. In his book Mark states that collection agencies in Canada, collectively, sue only about one in 10,000 consumer accounts. Mark also said that it may be possible to settle an outstanding account for significantly less than 100 cents on the dollar.

As part of the research for Mark's book The Wolf At The Door individuals with debt problems met with bankruptcy trustees and the meetings were secretly recorded to find out what type of advice consumers were receiving from bankruptcy trustees.
In the interview Mark refers to limitation periods and why an individual might not have to pay a consumer debt after it has been in default for a period of time. Mark and 'A' Morning show host Jennifer Buchanan discuss the law in Ontario that limits a collection agency to calling a consumer a maximum of three times during a seven-day period.
In the interview Mark advises consumers what to do when a collector gets you on the phone and how to deal with unprofessional collectors. Breakfast Television host Dina Pugliese asks Mark about some of the options available to consumers for handling their debts including instalment payments and settling debts for less than 100 cents on the dollar.
